W204 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - Buy One Now!
It's been about two years since we bought our 2013 Mercedes-Benz C 300 4matic sedan, and while the cost of ownership hasn't been cheap, it has been worth it every step of the way. We originally came across this vehicle at the start of 2022, after a mishap with my beloved 2018 Ford Focus Electric, and a decision to move from Québec back to Ontario, I decided I needed to get something with better winter control, and a vehicle I could easily bring back to this province. My decisions were pretty limited, I needed to trade the Focus Electric in at a dealership that had something I wanted to drive, while still getting the most for my trade. Unfortunately 2022 was a record-high for used vehicle prices, meaning I overpaid for my Mercedes, but luckily the dealer I sold my Focus too also overpaid on that.
Originally I hadn't planned on keeping this 2013 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for more than a year, it would serve me through winter, the move, then dumped off for something else. For most of 2022 I returned to press cars which meant my Mercedes sometimes needed to run down to Montréal to get a press car. The longest drive it took was our move to Ontario, nearly 750 kms non-stop with two cats in the back seats in the middle of the night.
Once we settled here I kept the car, another safety inspection from Mercedes-Benz and no concerns about the mechanical safety of this sedan. I've managed a staggering 11,500 kms of driving with this car in the past two years, and around $3,700 in maintenance/repairs. For an original $9,000 purchase price, plus approximately $1,500 for winter tires, this humble C-Class has performed admirably for me.
