2024 Nissan Ariya Platinum+ e-4orce

Last year Nile drove the Nissan Ariya EV and found it to be a well-rounded, solid electric vehicle with some minor flaws. Going into 2025 Nissan has made a couple changes and adjusted the price, so how does Nile feel about it now?

This week on TestDrive Nile hits the road in the 2024 Nissan Ariya Platinum+ e-4orce electric SUV. There have been some changes for 2024 over the previous model year we drove, including a price reduction and the Platinum+ being optioned as a package in Canada rather than a full trim. Since information about the 2025 models has already been disclosed, we go over what's coming with next year's model and if you should hold out before buying one.

Nile goes over the 2025 Nissan Ariya changes including the revised interior, removal of IR glass in favour of rear privacy glass, the removal of the power storage tray, and fog lights being deleted off all but the Platinum+ trim. Aside from that we discuss the changes since we last drove it before hitting the road to discuss this vehicle in more depth.

We compare our energy efficiency results with this vehicle compared to how it scored last year, along with how it stacks up versus other compact consumer electric crossovers. We then discuss why the 2024 Nissan Ariya is one of the best kept secrets in Nissan's portfolio, and why we find this to be a solid electric vehicle overall.
