2024 Genesis GV80 3.5T Prestige AWD

Since Hyundai spun-off their luxury offerings into their own brand, Genesis has impressed us with their attention to detail, luxury features, and overall package offerings. While the 2024 Genesis GV80 3.5T Prestige doesn't bring any major changes since we drove it last a couple years ago, the next model year will be the first major revamp for the mid-size luxury SUV. Genesis says deliveries for the 2025 won't begin until late this year, so we wanted to see if buyers should wait for the update or jump onto what's available today.

While the decision sounds simple enough, the 2025 model will bring some exterior changes to bring it in line with the current Genesis design language, with refinements to the grille and lighting, along with different rim and paint choices. The interior is where buyers will see the largest change, as the 2025 GV80 will see a significant redesign to the infotainment and driver information cluster screens, along with changes to the central HVAC controls. Buyers who are more tech-savvy may find these updates intriguing, but others who prefer a slightly simplistic approach may want to opt for the 2024.

Luckily if you're in the market for a Genesis you're shopping for one of the better options available in the market, so either model you go with will be a good option. We've heard from plenty of potential buyers already in the comments from our video, and the crowd is mixed between waiting for 2025 or jumping on the 2024. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference, with both myself and Victor leaning towards the current setup as the superior one. We're excited to see the 2025 in person.
