2020 Dodge Durango SRT Review
This generation of the Dodge Durango turns 10 this year, and to celebrate we're looking at the top-end performance variant from SRT.
Our Snapshot and full tour & review is on this 2020 Dodge Durango SRT 4WD. Last year TestDrive featured the 2019 Dodge Durango GT 4WD during a winter snow storm and quickly became the most popular single video we featured in 2019. The Durango is a strong seller in this segment despite receiving almost no changes for 2019, and a couple extra optional extras for this 2020 model year.
Interest in the vehicle is still strong, which is why the Durango sold 33% more in Canada in 2019, and 2.5% more in the USA. We go over what's new and different for the Dodge Durango R/T and SRT for 2020, along with what makes this SRT different from the GT we featured last year. We go over all the options available on this vehicle including the nearl $90,000.00 MSRP.
Features include the SRT Interior Appearance Package, Class IV Tow Package, 19 speaker harmon/kardon audio system, full suite of enhanced safety technology, second row captain's chairs with cupholder armrest, rear entertainment package, and the dual blue stripes on the exterior of the Durango.
TestDrive does a cold start and rev of the 6.4L SRT V8 Hemi engine before setting off on our comprehensive real-world road test. We conduct several 0-100km tests using the SRT Performance Pages to accurately record our results, followed by our thoughts and impressions about how this vehicle handles, performs, and rides on the road.
The Durango SRT we're driving is on Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires. After our driving segment we have some provided footage of how the 2020 Dodge Durango SRT sounds on the road, followed by our real-world fuel economy testing.
We wrap up with our likes and dislikes, and what we're expecting to see from Dodge/FCA in the next year when it comes to the Durango.
