2020 Mazda CX-9 Signature Review
We've featured two preceding model years of the Mazda CX-9 Signature, so now it's time to see what's new and changed for 2020.
Our episode of TestDrive Snapshot focuses on the 2020 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD and what's different from the 2019 and 2018 models we've featured before. New for 2020 includes Mazda's G-Vectoring Control Plus, Off-Road Traction Assist, 2nd row captain's chairs, two new interior colour options for the nappa leather on the Signature including the Deep Chestnut on our test model, and two new paint colours available on the Signature trim.
Other updates include a slightly larger 9" Mazda Connect infotainment system, 10 lb-ft of torque boost on the engine, the deletion of a FWD-only model in Canada, and a hands-free rear liftgate.
We go over the other subtle differences with this vehicle and the trims offered for sale here in Canada, followed by a comprehensive road test to talk about how the 2020 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD rides, handles, and performs on Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires, along with the interior noise levels and other general thoughts. We put an adult in the 3rd row to see how much space there is for passengers, and talk about some of the small issues we still have with the CX-9.
