2020 Hyundai Palisade Ultimate Review
We're doing some winter testing with the all-new 2020 Hyundai Palisade Ultimate to see if this three-row mid-size consumer crossover has what it takes for life here in Canada.
Our spotlight on the 2020 Hyundai Palisade Ultimate AWD is a comprehensive full tour and review of this new for 2020 mid-size consumer crossover. It's the cousin vehicle to the 2020 Kia Telluride SX Limited we featured earlier this year, but has a few different features like a power third row, fully digital gauge cluster, painted lower body trim and cladding, two extra speakers for the harmon/kardon audio system, but loses out on power folding mirrors, fog lights, and additional interior ambient lights.
We go over everything you need to know about this $54,000 crossover if you're in the market for a 7 passenger vehicle and want to know about it's winter and snow capabilities. We go over the LED headlights, power light gate, keyless entry, remote starter, blind spot camera, 360º camera, parking sensors, active cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, emergency forward braking, and acoustic laminated front windshield and glass.
We discuss the interior design, features, and technology, like the front power, heated, and ventilated seats, second row heated and ventilated captain's chairs, third row seating with USB and cup holders, dual moonroof, LED interior lighting, 10.25" infotainment system, 12.3" digital gauge cluster, and 12-speaker harmon/kardon audio system. We also discuss how the second row seats work for easier access to the third row, and some of the interior elements that differ from other Hyundai vehicles like their new shift-by-wire transmission gear selector.
TestDrive takes the 2020 Hyundai Palisade Ultimate AWD on a comprehensive road test to talk about how this crossover performs on the road, and what buyers can expect from the 3.8L Gamma II GDi V6 engine, 8 speed transmission, HTRAC all-wheel drive, and terrain control modes. We talk about how the vehicle handles and drives including the interior noise, vibration and harshness. We weren't able to film any snow driving, but we did test the Palisade in the winter and snow to see how it performed compared to other larger crossovers we've tested so far.
