2020 BMW M4 Competition Review

Even though it's winter, people still need to drive their M4s. We're looking at the final model year for the F82/F83 with the 2020 BMW M4 Cabriolet with Competition Package.

The BMW M4 is one of the most coveted performance cars on earth, and the 2020 will be the final year of production for the F83/F82 generation. For 2020 BMW hasn't changed anything, but is offering an Ultimate Package for Canadian buyers, coming with pretty much every option available. Our test vehicle is priced at $119,400.00 CAD and is finished in San Marino Blue with Silverstone White interior. The Ultimate Package also adds the M Driver's Package, Competition Package, M Titanium Exhaust, and M Adaptive Suspension with M Differential.

We go over what this M4 has to offer and what comes with the Competition Package, along with the other specifications and features found on this vehicle. We also talk about the performance data and numbers compared to the direct competitor, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S cabriolet, and how this compares to the 2020 BMW 750Li xDrive we featured a couple weeks back.

We take this 2020 BMW M4 Competition on a comprehensive winter road test, including two 0-100km (0-60mph) launches with launch control, and some on-road real-world driving. We also talk about how the Continental ContiWinterContact tires work, and what you can expect if you plan on winter driving your M4. We discuss our other impressions for this vehicle including the interior design and layout, and what we expect will be the legacy for this generation once the second gen-M4 is launched.

We wrap up our full tour and review of the 2020 BMW M4 Convertible Competition Package with our real-world fuel economy testing, along with what we liked and disliked about this compact executive performance car.
