2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Review
Last year we drove the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and absolutely hated it. How has it changed for us this year? Quite a lot.
We're looking at the current fastest compact luxury crossover on earth, the 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. A $115,000 SUV with a 2.9L Ferrari bi-turbo V6 engine, an 8 speed sport automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel bias AWD system. The Stelvio was a boring car, but tune it with Quadrifoglio and we're in business.
Our full tour and review of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio goes over everything you need to know about this ultra performance crossover, including what's different over the regular Stelvio TI Sport, what options are available like the Sparco carbon fibre & Alcantara racing seats, carbon ceramic brakes, Nero Edizione appearance package, and the driver assistance package. We discuss the engine performance and specs along with the other features found on this vehicle.
We take the Stelvio Quadrifoglio on some comprehensive real-world testing including several 0-100km tests, launch control, and performance and handling. We talk about how this vehicle compares to the TI Sport we featured, as well as something like the 2019 BMW X4 M40i we featured earlier this year. We go over our fuel economy testing along with the different drive modes through Alfa Romeo DNA.
We wrap up our full tour and review of the 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio by going over our likes and dislikes about this compact luxury crossover, including some of the build quality issues we noticed with panel gaps and trim placement, along with the features we'd like to see on this vehicle in future model year updates.
