2019 Kia Stinger GT-Line

Now in it's second year of production, the 2019 Kia Stinger brings the 2.0L inline 4 engine to Canada with the new GT-Line trim. Special thanks to Mega Kia Brossard for allowing us to film their brand-new 2019 Kia Stinger 2.0L GT-Line in stunning Ghost Grey metallic paint. https://www.megakiabrossard.com/ We absolutely loved the 2018 Kia Stinger GT Limited when we drove it a couple months back, but we've been asked if the 2.0L base model is a better buy over something like a fully loaded Optima SXL Turbo. Unfortunately up until this past weekend the entry-level inline 4 engine wasn't available here in Canada. We have the chance to look at this new model and see if it still provides us miles of smiles like the 3.3L twin-turbo did. As this is an episode of TestDrive Snapshot we won't be going into full depth with this mid-size fastback sport sedan, rather we're taking it on a road test to see if the smaller 255 horsepower engine lives up to the Stinger name. During our road test we talk about some of the features and options that aren't available on the entry level Stinger, as well as the features you do get at this $39,995 CAD price point. Finally we determine if the less powerful Kia Stinger GT-Line is really worth it over it's bigger twin-turbocharged brother, and have a special message for all the haters and trolls out there who still think this is 'just a Kia' even after watching our previous episode of TestDrive Spotlight on the 2018 Kia Stinger GT Limited. Changes for the 2019 model years for Canada only include the addition of this GT-Line model, along with Qi wireless charging being standard on all models sold in Canada.
