The Showdown we've been waiting for! We pit the American German Buick Regal GS against the South Korean Kia Stinger GT in this ultimate $49,000 fastback sedan comparison. In June we had the chance to feature the 2018 Kia Stinger GT Limited, Kia's $49,000 answer to premium performance usually dominated by the Germans. During our episode of TestDrive Spotlight on that car we talked a lot about it's performance capabilities including some of the competition, such as the 2018 Buick Regal GS. We had hoped to film an episode of TestDrive Showdown on these two cars back in June, but deliveries of the Regal only just started here in Québec. With our latest episode of TestDrive Spotlight on the 2018 Buick Regal GS we talk about this Opel designed and assembled mid-size sportback sedan, but spent some time talking about it's similarities with the Kia Stinger considering we'd driven it recently, and on paper both are very similar.
