Unique and Interesting Vehicles Wanted!
We launched our new format at Perpetual Radio back in November 2015 with the idea to create original Canadian content that focused on in-depth reviews and information about cars. We found a lack of engaging content on YouTube when searching for older luxury model cars and took it upon ourselves to fill the void.

In our current format of TestDrive each Spotlight covers the basics of the car we're filming, including all the interior and exterior features and button controls, we'll take the car for a road test to talk about how it performs and drives, then we wrap up with our final thoughts and a brief buyers guide for anyone thinking about buying a car like that.

Filming a typical episode of TestDrive can take up to 4 hours depending on the car and access to equipment and crew. We prefer to feature older model cars as the demand for videos on them is high. Vehicles must be as OEM/original as possible without significant engine or cosmetic modifications, and the interior of the vehicle must be clean and as damage free as possible. We understand that when reviewing older vehicles they aren't showroom ready, and that's fine! As long as we're able to showcase the car in it's best condition.

Criteria for Selection
TestDrive's mission has always been to provide high-quality reviews and buyers guides for vehicles. While we love reviewing all sorts of cars, our format requires us to be selective when scheduling vehicles. Please see the criteria list below, if you think your vehicle meets these requirements then it could be a good candidate for our show.

Mechanically Sound: Vehicles must be mechanically sound, with few to no safety issues such as rough engine idle, Check Engine Light for engine performance issues, worn-out brakes, bald tires, or collapsed suspension.

Original (or near Original) to Factory Spec: While we love seeing modified cars, both aesthetically or performance wise, vehicles that have been overly modified from OEM or OEM+ don't provide viewers with an accurate representation of what that car could offer them if they're in the market to buy one. Upgrades from the manufacturer, such as newer headlights, different rims, or upgraded interior trim are acceptable within reason.

Clean: Given the fact that we record in a country that has heavy winters, it's not always possible to provide a spotless car. We ask that during summer months the exterior is washed and clean of any obvious dirt. The interior must be clean with personal belongings removed from the main cabin area, around the rear view mirror, and most visible surfaces clean.

Physical Condition: With older cars, physical condition is hard to guarantee. Slight rust and small damage like door dings and panel dents are sometimes unavoidable. We look for vehicles that are in the best condition possible in order to fully promote the vehicle in our videos. Significant damage to a vehicle is not acceptable.

This is by no means a complete list, or the only cars we're willing to feature. While we have had a lot of success filming and featuring older luxury cars, our mission statement is to find unique and interesting cars that are in good mechanical and physical condition. We feel that a 1990 Hyundai Pony in excellent condition is just as important to film as a 2001 BMW 740iL. We aren't exclusive to luxury cars, nor are we limited to a certain age.
